Mapleview Energy is a waste-to-energy company developing battery energy storage systems by repurposing retired electric vehicle batteries. We design, deploy, and operate modular storage infrastructure for commercial and industrial applications where reliability, cost control, and resilience matter.
We sit at the intersection of energy, waste, and infrastructure, extending the useful life of EV batteries while delivering dependable energy storage to real operating environments.
To extend the lifecycle of electric vehicle batteries by repurposing them into safe, reliable, and high-performing energy storage systems for commercial and industrial use.
A circular energy system where retired batteries are treated as infrastructure assets, not waste, supporting a more resilient, efficient, and sustainable energy grid.
Building credibility through rigorous development, testing, and real-world validation.
Partnered with Dr. Sheldon Williamson's Battery Lab to develop our BESS prototype and establish UL 1974-aligned procedures for battery testing, grading, and integration.
Validated our ~50 kWh BESS prototype in concert with Ontario Tech University and Cambrian College's Vale EV Lab through the Ontario Centre for Innovation's Technology Access Program.
Our first paid pilot project: a 600 kWh battery energy storage system integrated with solar at Castellan Farm in Fergus, Ontario. Deploying in 2026.
Our team combines experience in energy systems, battery engineering, and commercialization to deliver energy storage from concept to deployment.
